Would the Holy Spirit of God lead a Christian to a different Bible other than the King James Bible?
He asks: "IF it is possible to be a Christian WITHOUT believing only in the KJV, that would mean one has the Holy Spirit living in us. If, we have the Holy Spirit living in us, and He is the teacher, and the interpreter, wouldn't He prompt us NOT to read out of any other version that is NOT the King James? Answer the question, Will."
All of God's people have the Spirit of God dwelling in us. This is true. I do not deny this. But even with the Holy Ghost, not all of us see the same truths in Scripture or understand the Bible in the same or the right way.
I don't think any of us understands everything found in the Bible. We all see through a glass darkly.
In the parable of the Sower and the seed, the good seed brought forth some 30, some 60 and some 100.
We obviously are not all on the same level of spiritual maturity or growth or understanding.
When we first hear the gospel and believe that Christ died for our sins and rose again, and that in him alone is found the forgiveness of sins, we begin our new life in Christ as babes.
It is quite natural that we would begin using whatever bible version we were reading at that time or whatever some pastor or fellow Christians recommend.
And we can learn many things that are true from any Bible. I think it is only later when one is confronted with all the textual and translational differences - different names, different numbers, totally different meanings in the same verses, and many verses and phrases and words missing from some but found in others, that then we should be asking ourselves this question.
Is the Bible - any bible in any language - really the inspired, complete and inerrant words of God? And if so, which one is it?
I believe that at this point when you start to see just how different all the Bible versions are and you see some of the falsehoods, corruptions - both textual and doctrinal - , and how the modern versions downgrade the person of the Son of God in many areas, then the Spirit of truth will lead you to the King James Bible.
Some examples -
Many Modern Versions Degrade the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ
Matthew 27:24; Matthew 28:6; Luke 23:42; John 3:13; John 7:8-10; Matthew 5:22; Mark 9:24; Philippians 2:6-8; 1 Corinthians 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:47; Micah 5:2; 1 Timothy 3:16 and "Worship" or "Kneel before"? Romans 14:10-12; Isaiah 32:2 "a MAN shall be as an hiding place"
I do not believe it is the Spirit of Truth who will lead anybody to a false and corrupt "bible" that not even you believe is the inerrant words of God.
God may not open your eyes to the truth of the KJB in your lifetime, and he may be doing this to eventually humble us when we realize just how wrong we have been about the Bible version issue and other doctrinal areas.
You may not agree with me on this, but at least I DID answer your question.
Now please answer my question to you that you keep avoiding.
Is there any Bible in any language - including “the” Hebrew and “the” Greek - that you can SHOW US that you honestly believe IS now or ever was the complete and inerrant words of God? Yes or No? Or I don’t know?
IF Yes, can you tell us which one it is or give us a link to where we can see it and know what it says?
IF No, then are you honest enough to admit it?
Thank you.
